You win some you lose some tbh but it is a shame about being haced but no one can really do anything about it unless he takes legal action?
he has taken legal action , hes spoke to the police about it and there in the process of contacting Suake to try and get Ip's and other details about who access his account from there they will then get in contact with ISP's to locate the addresses of the offenderes and even if they have Proxyed to change there Ip's you cant change you MAC address so they will proberly be caught someway. In the mean time when i spoke to him last night he said he was hoping to get about 8,000 Pounds from the people who hacked him,
Surely you can't sue someone through Habbo only sulake can as you 'rent' the furni ye?
uhh, he admitted that he'd hacked/scammed most of his pixels, so he hasn't got a case really.
As i said before thats sulake's case no one elses...

As for MAC addresses yes its possible to change your MAC address by MAC spoofing however i really doubt they went through all the trouble of Spoofing there MAC address to do that it takes most skilled people to do it correctly.
He can hope as much as he wants, it'll never goto court and he'd never get 8k for it, if they ever had enough evidence to pin point who done it then the guy would either be cleaning public toilets for a few months or a slap on the wrist and their contract terminated by their ISP.
Only stupid and careless people get caught, it's very easy not to get traced and no.. mac spoofing does not take any skill at all. Everyday tons of people get away with phishing paypal accounts, exploiting hundreds of accounts for payed services (like porn sites) and hacking the account of Sarah Palin, lol. All of which are alot bigger deals than a kid losing out on Habbo.
How does the guy know he was hacked that way? Sounds like he's covering up the butt hurt of other more likely ways his account got stolen and the hurt that he probably did pay for the majority of that furni and didn't steal most of it like he is claiming.
As far as Sulake's Contribution goes; Since the guy gave the pass out publicly over forums then Sulake are going to have a hard time giving any real evidence to who it was, i'm guessing over 100 people logged in the account and there is no real proof the guy who hacked him ever even logged on the account or that it's the same people who stole the furni. Though it is illegal to go on any account without permission that also would have no actions taken since they could have logged in being lead to believe that the OP on the forums was just giving his account out for free.
As far as your ISP Getting involved: xMr.DDoSx0rz2009x advises that if you get a call/e-mail from your ISP then just use the classic: "Someone must have stolen my interwebs and used my proxy to do it!" 99% Proof win.

Simple:
Coving was hacked.
They got his IP, injected a trojan with a keylogger in to it, then took off his stuff.
*Removed* did it with his friend.

Anyways, doesn't really matter anyway. It's pretty impossible to flog off 850t worth for cash anyway, would takes months of gathering hundreds of buyers. Most people if they do buy only buy like 2t a week, which would take forever as all I'd be doing is winning the stuff back in a day anyway. IO managed to sell 400t around worth for 2.5 - 3k in 3 weeks, but my buyer was like 25 years old a good job and sent 300 a day, which is impossible to get nowadays. All I'd be doing with the cash is washing it away on drinking, going out and petrol ect. I managed to get a projector screen, 22" computer screen and new computer and that the first time, but thats only as I had a rare buyer, which is hard to get now. So in a way im saving my liver, as alot went on drink last time :)
