Never even tasted Mountain Dew in my life, not very popular where I live in Australia.

I've managed to get a few bottles from a sainsburys near my girlfriends house.
Doesn't really taste like the proper stuff, although its still nice - there was no need to change it in my opinion.
We all wanted the proper stuff and got an energy drink LOL.
It was always going to taste different. We can't use the same ingredients in manufacturing as they can in the US. Like I already said, Coca-Cola has a different taste over here, as does Dr Pepper, and now, as you are witness to, Mountain Dew.
finally had it and it tastes alright, but on comparing it to the proper one, it's not as good imo. bit of a let down but dm.

The colour is weird though.
