90% of my friends are Emos/Punks, so yeah, you could say I copied them. But I hang around with them all far too much to not get drawn into there styles.

Erm, anyway... Most of the Emos i know are about 16/17 then goths are about 18/19 then metal heads are from like 12 to 19

so theres quite a wide range - i know a few emo/scene kids that are 18 aswell infact -thinks- i only know about 30 emo kids under 16? =\ mostly Metalheads/Skaters are the younger ones.

Right... You have some severe problem. How can cutting yourself relieve stress? The only thing it does do is lower your blood levels and make you look like you enjoy pain... What actually makes you stressed? It confuses me, I fail to see why you would put you, yourself at risk by cutting yourself and if you cut yourself wrongly, imagine what your family would think or do when they wake up and see you in a puddle of blood, dead.

One teenage way to release stress is and I do not wish to write a huge lecture on it, is to "jerk the gherkin" so to speak. You may think it is rather discusting, but one major form of stress is sexual stress. I do not really want to hear about your bedroom tales, but that is one way to release stress.

Another is talking it over with friends. Although, judging by your friends "stereotypical type," they probably would tell you to cut deeper. Family members maybe? They'll help you out hopefully, unless your parents are terrible. Why are you affraid to tell them? You do not need to tell them you cut yourself, just say you are upset or stressed out.

Maybe get some sleep? Sleep is good and relaxing, maybe a nice warm bath. Please don't give me a lecture on baths being a filthy way to clean, you are allowed to have a shower afterwards. I do at least when I have a bath.

I agree, emo kids shouldnt complain about their lives, but dont compare it to african kids'. You could say that about anyone who has a minor complaint, people shouldnt feel guilty about where theyre born.
