how do they select one from the graphics team i guess it must be hard

They base it off (ex)manager reccomendations, and who they think can manage a department. Its not hard...:P

RoboEvil does amazing images - would be good if it's him :p

i think roboevil would be a good choice aswell, he has a good eye for pixel art and has a good judge of character

The key to a well motivated staff is encouragement, training and guidance during the early days. A manual is fine but is no substitute to experience and help. I used to bring this up frequently and it maybe something worth looking into and perhaps a training manager who has lots of experience should be appointed to look after the new recruits including mods. Just an idea. :)
