:l Are VM always this slow in the evening?

i have no idea why you are complaining, 5mps is still a fast speed.

I dont really know in all honesty haha, basically when we first upgraded to 20Mbps, our upload speed was really bad, i mean not even reaching 200kbps, so we phoned up virgin and they said they will look into it.

a day or so later when i checked we were getting close to 1Mbps upload speed for some reason and it's been like that ever since.

That's not 1mbps, that's 9mbps near enough

But around 1MB/s

9Mega bits is roughly 1 - 2 Mega Bytes

More people come on in the evenings.
