Because 48 is larger than 30. Cheaper, and for the price of a 30" you might as well just buy an HDTV...although you wont get as good of a resolution I suppose:P..

Monitors, 2 just makes it cooool.

You really need to run it at native resolution, if you dont, theres no point in buying the monitors, you wont be impressed at all :(

Yeah. There are some reasons for not running at native resolution, such as having a visual impairment, but you would just raise the DPI for that.
