My 60 year old dad had a pair of chinos when he was 30 odd. I need a new pair :D but I do miss my skinny jeans, need a new pair of them actually.
Chinos are ****.
Mostly wear jeans but do have a black pair of chinos - brought because I was going to a funeral but also wanted to wear them after so wasn't a waste of money and they are alright.
I love my chinos, but haven't worn them for ages (mainly because everyone in school seems to wear them now..)

not really about following the crowd cos they've been around for years - they're just getting more popular. i thought they've been popular for about a year and a half anyway....

I have a pair of chino shorts because denim shorts are for eight year olds, but i think actual chino trousers look ******* stupid. there was a time where i did sort of like them but now every ****head and their grandad wears them
