Because that way, the people who got in all get a go (and that takes ~1 hour). Then it opens at the next scheduled time.

I lock it whenever it's full, some leave depends. There is no spectate so yeah.
Also does it matter if anybody has won?

I'm not keen on the moodlight effects but yeah haha! I like the ones without it!

@Skandair; I think the moodlight makes the rooms more realistic and gives them extra value to the theme they are set out to be.
