So you'd force someone to join content just so they could write a guide, and if there wasn't any guides for them to write they'd have to do wiki work which they may not want to do?
I'm sorry but unless you make different roles inside content itself (content writer / guide writer idk not that wording) then that's ridiculous.
Why don't you try merging again? I'm sure some people were discussing in content (think @Samanfa;) that she eventually did want to merge and liked it.
In all fairness, I have changed my mind too and think merging isn't a terrible idea if there are specialised roles in the dept. itself.
yea this is why i'm sorta with the putting it into a new dep of it's own but I still think it's a bit much for a new dep and would suit a sub-dep more.
but if it was moved to content that's my problem cause I wouldn't want to join cause skynus refuses to accept the idea of separated mins, i'd never do wiki work sorry lmao
--------------
@Grig; assuming it did happen you wouldn't have to do them though cause of being a sub-dep within news so you would completely have the option to opt out of it
Why. If people in this newly merged department are allowed to pick a certain area (news / site-wiki / guides) then I'm failing to see what you are annoyed over.
Or are you pissed at the thought of merging again? If that's it, then that's not my problem and a problem for other users who think the merge still is a silly idea.

From e5s post I am guessing it is the outrage.
Don't even suggest merging again tbh, it failed completely last time due to skynus forcing everyone to do the other departments work too. Most of the dep just resigned cause they didn't want to do wiki work (and I was tempted to too for the same reason).
and if u did have just seperate minimums for each bit you might as well not even merge cause it'll just make more cluttered forums and be pointless
I wouldn't force them, no, it's a simple case of adding to the criteria. If they want to write for Habbox, in news or content, they have to do the whole thing - it's how it goes. You can't just go to HabboxLive to just give out warnings and show feedback, you need to go on air as well. You can't go into the forum department just post, you need give out mod warnings, reminders etc.
I'm sorry, what? I'm pretty sure we came to an agreement in that big massive group conversation with @Inseriousity.; so please don't try and pin the blame on me, that is my one pet hate.
I know some people dislike each other, but there's no obligation to actually speak to the same people in the whole department. A member working on wiki-site wouldn't have to communicate with a news staff member if they didn't want to :P
If that was the reason for them all resigning last time I am shocked.
Before this goes any further, let me just say this.
We unmerged in the end because management decided because staff just stuck to their own work and wouldn't work as a merged department (merged meaning they're completely merged, which was the plan) it was completely pointless and may as well just be 2 seperate departments. Am I wrong @Inkwell;? No. Also, I should add, you thought that because that's what I asked you. So please, before you start posting anything about the merge at least get it correct.
You were both as bad as each other tbh.
For arguments sake I'd just say put it with the others on content, why take time making a new department. My thoughts anyway.
lets face it guys, even if this happens it probably wont happen for a very long time knowing habbox!!
Wow I missed the last 7 pages of this, but I'm glad people agree with me that the content team should be in charge of content.
Also, just to add any seniors on the Content team should have a knowledge of SPAG similar to news, as I looked back and you noted that as one of the positives Sam :P.
Warren/Hayden, you are missing the whole point of being a department and that is the ability to be able to communicate with each-other, regardless of your role.
Just on SPAG knowledge alone I believe Content would be more appropriate than News anyway. I know we don't have seniors in Content anymore, but I'm sure @Skynus; would easily sort it if not.
Tbh especially as habbosecrets has decided not to close after all I would now gladly say let content do it if they wish , so that as grig says news can focus on the stuff we currently focus on lmao.
while you all moaned and ******* fr 200 replies habbosecrets has been re-opened after vado has his attention fix for this month!
it still should be looked into tho, but there is n point if they won't be done right away and promoted (which the probably won't)
I was talking to @Skynus; about it and I think we have an idea of how it can work, just depends when he implements it!!
TLDR; so 20 pages.. missed this entire thread. Any hints of what has been going on?
i think u should still do it
Why can't Habbox still do the answers/guides? I was unaware that if a fansite had a 'niche' no other fansite could do it... I'm sure other fansites in the past have done rare values/radios/help desks etc.

Habbox want to introduce some content to the site, guides/answers on latest quests/badges etc. But the news department want to do it and not let the content team do the new content.
Er, wait, really?! This is the same department (along with content) who almost died from high blood pressure when the two departments merged, right? But you are now telling me that the news department is arguing because they want to do the content?
