MVP’s VIP Lounge segment was taped prior to the official start of SmackDown. Tonight’s guest is Rey Mysterio. Rey gives the crowd an update on his condition and rehab. He will be back real soon. MVP makes a few racial remarks geared towards Mysterio and the majority of the crowd. The segment ends with no physical encounter.

SmackDown opening credits.

Before the cameras resumed rolling, Hawkins and Ryder wheel Vickie Guerrero to the Ring. We are going to have a contract signing. SmackDown begins and the roof explodes. The amount of heat directed toward Vickie was impressive. I was sitting in the 4th row and I could not really hear Vickie’s promo. Vickie calls out Batista. She tells him that Edge already signed the contract. She tells Batista that it is a standard contract but there were 2 amendments. 1st amendment, Batista has to win another match before he can face Edge at Night of Champions. His next opponent will be The Great Khali. Batista leaves the ring. Vickie calls up to Batista and tells him the 2nd amendment is, he must defeat The Great Khali tonight or he will suffer the same fate as The Undertaker, he will be banned from WWE.

WWE Tag Team Champion John Morrison w/ The Miz def. Finlay w/ Hornswoggle. One on one match where Morrison rolls up Finlay to get the win.

Mark Henry cuts a promo on The Big Show.
Henry shows the world what his face looks like now, and a picture of what he will do to the Big Show’s face. (Instead of 1 black eye Show will have 2 black eyes.)

Another promo, Edge and Vickie. Edge talks about Night of Champions and makes references to the demise of The Undertaker. CM Punk walks in. He congratulates the couple. He then brings up Money in the Bank. The vignette ends with Punk saying he may just cash in MITB during Edge’s wedding.

Mark Henry def. Tommy Dreamer.
Henry hits his World’s Strongest Slam for the pin after a short match.

Now we go backstage to Edge and Vickie again who are now talking to a wedding planner. MVP interrupts the two. MVP wants to renegotiate his contract with Vickie. Vickie is reluctant to do so, but she said if MVP did them a favor she would look into it. Vickie and Edge asks MVP to take care of CM Punk.

Cherry def. Maryse.
With what appeared at first to be a single arm DDT but it might have been a double arm. It was sloppy either way.

MVP def. CM Punk via DQ.
Crowd was very dead for this match. This was easily the longest match of the night. MVP gets control of Punk’s MITB briefcase. While MVP was in the corner Punk hits the running knee driving the briefcase into MVP?s skull. Punk celebrates to the crowd and that is when the referee turns around, sees the briefcase, and DQ?s Punk. Chavo Guerrero and Bam Neely come out to the ring. Chavo puts over Edge’s and Vickie’s wedding and then introduces the United States Champ, saying that he will beat him at Night of Champions.

WWE United States Champion Matt Hardy def. Chuck Palumbo.
Matt Hardy used his Twist of Fate for the victory. Chavo then announces the winner of the match and the "loser at Night of Champions", Matt Hardy.

Jesse and Festus def. Deuce and Domino.
Festus had one of the biggest pops of the night during the match. Festus picks up the victory. After the match, Deuce and Domino get into it with each other and a brawl takes place between the two of them. Is this the end of the team of Deuce and Domino?

The Great Khali vs. Batista is next!

Batista def. The Great Khali.
Edge and Vickie watch the match from the entryway. Batista hits a spear on Khali. Khali STILL sucks!

Dark Main Event
Batista def. World Heavyweight Champion Edge and The Great Khali, in a 2-1 Handicap Match. Batista hits the Batista Bomb on Edge for the victory. Batista celebrates in the ring and with the crowd.

Yeah it is Matt v Chavo. Out of the blue somewhat. And what's the deal with Punk?

Punk will be the first to unsuccessfully cash in the Money in the Bank priviledge.

There are more spoilers for SmackDown! as two shows have been taped for the next two Fridays.

Undertaker confirmed for the WWE's yout of Australia, There will be a stpry line with Vice Guerrero saying that it's so he can bid fairwell.
When he returns he will continue his feud with Edge.

Did anyone catch that Kofi match? That was alright actually!

Kofi is really good I think people should get behind him more!

That reversal Evan Bourne did was amazing, those two are great athletes.

I can't stop thinking that since I watch RAW on USA Network, they just got the idea to name Matt Sydal Ethan Bourne because The Bourne Conspiracy video game is advertised every commercial break, which is like every 5 minutes in the States.

yea its awful now, not 'extreme' anymore..

I browse over which matches look interesting haha, I agree most of it does suck but some of the matches are great. They have some real talent, they just underuse it way to much.

yea they do have some good talent but it just doesn't feel like ecw anymore

I think ECW is a great band particularly for development the miz morisson elijah burke shelton benjamin koffi kingston all big stars for the future and we need to bear in mind the whole point in ecw is to develop their talent and still get fan support it's for trying out new things not as much for great matches. BTW does anyone think Shelton is under used and he should use some more of his athletic moves again both he and Carlito have toned it down a lot over the last year maybe it's because they're heels I dunno.

There gets a point where too extreme is just pure sickening imo. But hell im up for a good chair shot though!

Carlito is expected to meet and ask to quit as he is underused, he almost walked out when he heard he had to lose to Cryme Tyme on Raw last week.

And in response to MD yes I feel Sheldon is underused, he is an incredible athlete whom is never used.

Classic ECW is extremely weak in compared to many promotions, mostly independent of the past and present, like FMW, Big Japan Pro Wrestling, Combat Zone Wrestling and the IWA affiliates.

I perfer Tna to ECW, and thats saying something

TNA died in 2006; it's about the same as the reformed ECW.

TNA Relies on gimmicks WAY too much. Curry man and whatnot are highly annoying.

The TV Guide preview for the 6/23 Draft edition of RAW also lists another million dollar giveaway, but it may not happen as there is a lot of speculation that tomorrow's giveaway may be the final one. I expect it to go one more week after tomorrow because the Draft is already pretty much confirmed to draw a decent rating.

Speaking of the draft (and this is a MAJOR spoiler that I haven't yet touched on), the word is John Cena is definitely headed to WWE SmackDown!

Curry Man is Christopher Daniels' gimmick when he competes in Japan. I have no idea why they decided to switch, and I'm sure there will be some kind of rediculous hair vs. mask or mask vs. mask match and Daniels' will be exposed as Curry Man in what Don West will call "the most unbelievable thing" he's ever seen. Yes, I can picture it now, soon Jim Cornett will announce that an Ultimate King of the Doomsday Gauntlet Chamber of Full Metal Terrordome match will be included at the next pay-per-view, Curry Man vs. Blue Blazer's corpse. :rolleyes:

Hmm I reckon they should put all the ok people in smack down i only watch smackdown for like big show batista great khali and suppose thats it...so if all of them got moved to raw and people like hhh john cena hbk Y2J and people like that stayed would just watch raw

Smackdown! Results (Airing Next Week 6/20)

While the ring crew is getting ring ropes and ring aprons changed, a 10-15 min video about the WWE is played that shows everything from WWE Films, to Superstar TV appearances to WrestleManias.

Mick Foley's music hits and Mick with Michael Cole make their way to the ring.

Opening credits and Pyros go off and Smackdown! starts with MVP's VIP Lounge.

MVP starts to talk about how he is better than La Familia and how he dosent feel he is getting the treatment he deserves on Smackdown! Vickie Guerrero comes out with Hawkins and Ryder to the most heat I have ever seen anyone get live! The fans would not stop booing this women and she had to stop many times because of it! I really couldn't hear all that she had to say but she told MVP he would be facing Kane tonight 1 on 1!

Matt Hardy is shown coming to the ring and his match is Next!

Matt Hardy b. Bam Neely
During match referee Charles Robinson sends Chavo Guerrero to the back and Matt is able to get the win!

After commercial Chavo, Bam and Edge are shown backstage and Edge asks Chavo to face Batista tonight because it would help out. Edge says he'll take care of Matt Hardy next week!

Michelle McCool b. Layla El via submission
Match not too exciting crowd was pretty dead through this one! Natalya comes out on the stage half way through the match and watches. Obviously McCool and Natalya are on a road to clash soon!

Back from commercial and Charles Robinson is in Vickie's dressing room. Vickie tells Charles this is the 3rd time he has messed with La Familia. She tells him he will be in a match tonight!

Vladimir Kozlov b. Jamie Noble
After match Jamie looks to be really hurt and medical comes to the ring when at commercial break. Jamie finally gets up after 5 minutes and is helped to the back by trainers.

Jesse & Festus b. Deuce & Domino
A few minutes into the match Deuce and Domino start fighting and one beats up the other. WWE has such a lack of tag teams so I don't know why they would start a split to another tag team! I don't understand?

Finley b. The Miz
After match Finley and Hornswoggle really interact with the fans dancing and shaking hands with those in the first row! Really cool to see wrestlers going above and beyond in front of the live crowd!

Kane b. MVP
After match Mark Henry comes to the ring and beats up Kane!

The Great Kahli b. Referee Charles Robinson
Robinson starts to run away from the ring when Hawkins and Ryder meet him on the ramp. They ruffed him up and sent him back into the ring where Kahli squashed Robinson! After match trainers and EMT's took him away on stretcher!

Batista comes to the ring and awaits Chavo. Vickie comes out to more heat and says Charles Robinson was going to be the referee for this match but now that wasent going to happen. She names Edge the special guest referee and tells Batista I believe if he loses the match he will not face Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship! The crowd was so loud I think those were the stipulations!

Chavo Guerrero b. Batista
This was a screw job right from the beginning. Edge was counting fast for Chavo the entire match and as soon as Batista went outside of the ring Edge gave Batista the fastest 10 count I have ever seen! I am not sure when they ended the show on tv but Batista began to get beat up by La Familia when Matt Hardy came to the ring and help ward off predators. They battled for a few minutes when Mick Foley got up and began to beat on either Hawkins or Ryder and took out Mr. Socko and sunk in the mandible claw to the back with Hawkins or Ryder with him!

The crowd was starting FOLEY chants all night and this got a HUGE reaction from the crowd! Batista and Matt Hardy stayed with the crowd for at least 10-15 minutes after the show ended and finally made their way to the back. Justin Roberts thanked us for coming out and that was the show!

To me the heat she is getting is unreal! I even found myself yelling and booing this women! Vince is on to something! Not too sure why the WWE is getting rid of another tag team when there are so few already? Well time will tell or something.

Lance Cade is useless, and so is Trevor Murdoch, I have no idea how he even got a job. They better not be pushing Cade to a main event level or anything of the like, he doesn't even have a gimmick, he's completely boring. I can sense Cade and Jericho vs. Triple H and Cena as next week's main event, which would be fantastic -Lance, try adding Michaels as Jericho's partner and making it far more interesting as both teams wouldn't be able to get along.

WWE Championship Match
Triple H (c) vs. John Cena

I am not particularly interested in this as a singles match. Where the hell is Jeff Hardy on the card? Surely they will put him in the mix and make it a Triple Threat match next week. He's not even on the card and he's one of the most over guys in the entire WWE. He's defeated the WWE Champion whereas John Cena only defeated Hardy for contendership, so he has just as much right as Cena to get an oppurtunity at the title. Plus, he vaulted over the ropes on them both, and it's seemingly ignored from a storyline point-of-view last night.

World Heavyweight Championship Match
Edge (c) vs Batista

Well, I can't argue with them for making this match, despite the feud has been done countless times before, with The Undertaker taking a sebbatical, there is really no one else who could have a championship feud with Edge.

ECW Championship Match
Kane (c) vs. Big Show

Hopefully the lighter and more agile Big Show will make for a much more interesting and complete match than their feud in May of 2006 or whenever it was. Show's match with The Great Khali was surprisingly better than expected.

WWE World Tag Team Championship Match
Cody Rhodes & Hardcore Holly (c) vs. Ted DiBiase & Mystery Partner

Obviously Ted's partner is Harry Smith and Cody will turn on Holly.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match
John Morrison & The Miz (c) vs. Finlay & Hornswoggle

Who cares? Morrison needs to be drafted to RAW and get involved in the Intercontinental title frame - he's a phenomenal singles star, and The Miz is useless.

United States Championship Match
Matt Hardy (c) vs. Chavo Guerrero

Absolutely no build - a pretty much pointless match just to live up to the event's name. Chavo just said he was going to face Hardy for the title at Night of Champions and seemingly got it? Hmm. Well, I'll go with Chavo for some reason; it really wouldn't surprise me if they killed Hardy's more than well-deserved push already.

Mickie James (c) vs. Katie Lea Burchill

Mickie is a genuinely good women's athlete rather than eye-candy, and Miss. German-born Katie is also spectacular in the ring from what I saw of her live in the British indies when she used to compete as Nikita.
