I have to laugh when labour announce new policies and especially at alistair darlings performance on TV the other day, come on you have had 13 years to implement your silly policys which no one will benefit from. Out with the old in the new. Vote for change, Vote Conservative!

I have to agree with you here. No matter how much I would love UKIP to win the election we have got to make sure our votes are not split between the conseratives and the minor parties and risk another 5 years of the scottish dictator.

Labour think portraying Cameron as Gene Hunt is bad? A tough talking no nonsense guy who takes no crap from anybody lol would get my vote.

I am a Conservative but would not vote the Conservatives now and I will tell you why. David Cameron has done nothing which gives me a reason to support him gaining office and to vote for him, nothing on immigration, the European Union, crime, taxation or anything else. Essentially it is like voting Labour. You cannot tell me or many others that we 'must vote Conservative to keep Labour out' - well i'm afraid that is not a good enough reason to vote somebody into office for, you must vote for change and sadly Cameron has nothing to change as the self-proclaimed heir to blair.

UKIP does have a fully manifesto on all policies and many true Tories this year will vote UKIP rather than playing the tactical voting game that you suggest we go along with. At the end of this Conservative term in office (which I suspect will ruin the reputation of a party which actually stood for something once) you will be just like those who voted Blair in 1997, let down, fed up and confused at where to go. The best outcome for the most boring General Election in history this year is a hung parliament with a Lib/Lab coalition. The coalition would fall apart within months to a year and hopefully by that time Cameron has been replaced by somebody such as David Davies (you know, a real Tory) who would sweep to power with a strong majority and sort this country out.

Vote Labour then you are voting for more of the same which means it will continue to get worse.
Vote Conservative then you are voting for more of the same which means it will continue to get worse.

A turkey doesnt vote for Christmas, dont let yourself make that same mistake.

But you are voting for more of the same under David Cameron, at least with voting UKIP you are voting for something you believe in more strongly as a right-winger and you could also could force the tactical change on the Conservative Party that is needed (the toppling of David Cameron). I battled with myself politically over the years at trying to keep some line of support for David Cameron and the Conservatives but its reached the point now where I cannot do that anymore because I know they are both exactly the same and thats sad to say for such a historic party which has rescued this country many times before.

I did say that people can vote for who they want and its just my opinion but you have to look at the broader picture. Would you prefer another 4/5 years of a tired government that has no new ideas and has been there and done that whilst at the same time messed up the country, or vote for a new and fresh approach by the conservatives? they did it once with thatcher and whilst cameron isnt as right wing as thatcher im damn sure they can do it again as there are more than enough people who are currently fed up with the country the way it is at the moment.

There is only three possible outcomes which is either Labour gets elected for another term, there is a hung parliament or the conservatives are elected. The only one that actually offers CHANGE is the third outcome and that is to have the conservatives elected.

(I felt that i had to jump on the poster bandwagon and create my own :P)

Brown or Cameron is a no brainer for me and I will vote for UKIP or whoever else will take us out of the EU in the europeans and local elections. I keep looking for a sniper rifle on ebay every time i see brown taking his deep breaths and puffing his cheeks in and out like a goldfish.

What is this new and fresh approach?

As a Conservative, I have been scraping at the walls for signs of it since he was elected to replace Howard in late 2005 and have still not found any signs of real change or this new fresh approach you mention.

Exactly, the best option is a hung parliament in which we can hope Cameron is disposed of. If not then the smaller parties such as UKIP will just continue to grow as yet more Tories will leave SS Cameron. The fact is that most Conservatives support far more fully what UKIP stand for than what the Conservatives stand for (the same as Labour) and theres little doubt in my mind that if UKIP does start to rise and grow more and more over the next few years/decade then they will jump ship instantly.

I hope it doesnt come to that situation and by then we have somebody like Davies installed as Tory leader.

The trouble is that a lot of people really don't understand politics, it isn't taught in schools and most will just pick it up here and there. People think they are voting for one person, the leader of the party such as Brown and Cameron, not what their parties policies are, but they are also too lazy to find out. Also a lot of opinions are passed down from generation, for example my parents grew up in the Thatcher era and were both from working class backgrounds so are both anti Tory and because of her always vote Labour, they still don't know I'm voting Conservative.

To be honest before any voting takes place people should be taught basic politics and read fully each parties policies before they are allowed to enter a polling booth, votes are being wasted and the wrong parties being elected for the wrong reasons.

conservative because anything is better then what we have at the moment :)! if not it would go to UKIP :)!

You have hit the nail on the head, the problem is the majority of young voters base their opinion on their parents. In my case, my mum votes Conservative and so do i but only because i have actually read the manifesto and agree with their policys rather than just vote for them for the sake of it.
