I would have to disagree with you strongly.

When you are on the other side of the table, getting kicked from the habbox helpdesk. You notice the staff in there. For the past couple of months, since the merge habbox has fallen but it is getting back up there. The Habbox Helpdesk, has staff in there a lot. and they are active. Which is great, since they added the "afk chairs" staff don't just disappear into the staff entrance anymore. The hxhd has really changed alot. But for the better.

So i don't really know why these threads are being posted.
It is really active during the peek times of the uk.
I'm sure if the HxHD had more international staff it would be more popular within the international side of habbo.

I think that even if HxHD is losing some activity its because its near the start of the year, people get tired and havent properly got back in the swing of everything. I think it's great that the SNQs are becoming consistant and they're a great way or pulling people in, aswell as the takeover. I dont realy go in HxHD much but when I do there are still a fair ammount of people in there.

I think sometimes people just try rip into a dept at any possible oppertunity, there's nothing wrong with HxHD and david and Lizzy are doing an amazing job!

The activity now is similar to what it was around this time last year. Its just that people have exams and commitments elsewhere, this time of the year is quite important for people in last year of school / college whatever. People also have jobs to go to and other things going on. Tbh i wouldn't expect many people to be on during such an important term in the majority of peoples school life, I expect the numbers to pick up during the summer holidays as people are off then. I think you may be comparing the amount of people around the desk now to Christmas, which in my opinion isn't exactly a fair comparison as at Christmas most people don't have much commitment to things like school as they do during term time, So you can't exactly say the HxHD is 'dying' as its just an important time for most users as exams are coming up and wasting precious revising minutes on a computer isn't really worth it as you get more out of revising than sitting on a computer looking at a computer screen.

Let's assume for a moment that the thread starter is completely right that HxHD is very inactive and few staff/users are there at the moment.

This means that HxHD is going through a slow period, not that it is dying. "Dying" implies a consistent downward spiral and no possibility of return. Facts and experience show us otherwise; HxHD has had good periods recently and bad periods in the past. So, HxHD is not "dying", instead going through a period of low activity.

Which leads us to the next point, the discussion should take the form of deciding where to go from here. There are two possibilities:

1) It is a historically slow time for HxHD and will pick up shortly
2) There is a problem

If 1), nothing needs to be done (unless it is decided that option 1 existing at all is a problem, in which case see below)

If 2), discuss what the problem is and find potential fixes for it, so that activity will pick up.


If you think there are actual reasons to close down HxHD, start a new thread with these actual reasons, as those arguments will simply pull this thread off topic, and there are few valid arguments for the closure of HxHD in this thread, since low activity really valid in this case.
