Just interviewed Nick on the radio at ThisHabbo
He has no idea, admitted he has no clue in specific stuff. Guys, it's a shambles. Stated that he doesn't know his role, what he's doing, nor what fansite events he's going to help. States he has the experience, but really? No, he doesn't.
If you heard it, it was a pretty poor interview.
well he did say he "didnt remember" how he got the role......like what!
Nick has thrown the suggestion out that when Habbo decide which fansites can become official - A ceremony should be hold in the Thertredome where two people of that site come up on the stage etc. They get the badge and so on.
Oh and Fansite V Fansite competitions/events.
Just got an email from Habbo:
Quote:
Greetings Fansites,
Since our announcement about the appointment of Fansite reps caused concern among some of you, we wanted to take the opportunity to clarify and possibly get some perspective into the proceedings:
- First off, nowhere was there any mention of Fansite reps needing to be from official fansites, nor will that ever be the leading criterium.
- Having fansite reps help staff out is strictly on a trial basis, i.e.
we may find that in three months the post has run its course or it is time for a switch. Either way, three months will be the trial period.
- Both Mammoth and Nick-Hastine approached staff individually about wanting to take on this post. They offered constructive, helpful ideas and suggestions that focus on the wider fansite community, not on individual fansites.
- Mammoth will be working on fansite community-building projects, such as the bimonthly Fansite Frenzy, which incidently is his idea.
- As our Make it Official Fansite Poll resulted in 1250 applications (and counting), we're expecting a fair number (20) of new fansites join the happy throng of Officials. Nick-Hastine will help staff with logistics and making them feel welcome. He may also help man the Official Helpdesk. NOTE: Any decision-making process remains in the hands of staff.
- Reps will NOT spend their time spying on forums (staff can do that on their own) and sending official communications (staff will continue to do that), but they can be approached ingame IF or WHEN a fansite need arises. NOTE: You will still be able to communicate directly with staff.
- Reps will not have special powers, priviledges, admin rights etc.
- Any serious offenses, perm bans etc. will result in the removal of the Fansite Rep badge.
We hope this went some way to address your concerns and would ask that you give our reps until May to prove themselves. We'd then be more than happy to discuss rotation options or any other queries you may have had with the appointments in our May meeting.
Many thanks.

Best,
Habbo Fansites
approach powertoo with ur own ideas like make hxhd officaaal hangout / help desk lol
I rather regret sticking up for Nick-Hastine, I thought he was asking powertoo to do more staff involved things (like the help desk, which I thought was going to be staff managed) - it now seems he is seeking postions of power and influence for himself. This fansite rep thing is silly.
I was thinking last night, the reps should be split into more individual reps. So for instance have one rep for communicating with the community, one for helping with new fansites, one for checking on behaviour of fansite and another helping with events and then obviously a few more?
This would make the system a lot more fair as it would split the privileges up through more people than just letting two do it all. What do you think?
I'm not sure if power too will even think about this idea though, as in the email she stated that we wait until may, when the system can be discussed in a meeting...
