iPod Video is still working fine, my old 'square' iPod Nano still works, my iPod Touch 2nd Gen still works, my MacBook still works and my iPad coming up to a year still works (even if it did have to be replaced one month after I got it, but even then they took it and just gave me a brand new one in the store).

I'd say they pretty much have their reliability and customer service down.

4S- Perfect example. Typical Apple marketing of "you have the best of the best, but you have to pay to keep up with it. Anything more than a year old is no longer supported, get with the picture and give us more money."

The sad thing is that Apple fanboys support this marketing scheme, and will dish out as much money as they can to Apple to feel 'cool.'

Apple forces you into one product, and charges a premium for every single transaction you place on the device. (/socialism? /monopoly? Wouldn't question it if Apple was not the most valuable brand in the world, for doing nothing than producing a single phone and a few music players) Android allows other companies to produce hardware, and allows root capabilities with its phones. I guess people prefer to do what they are told rather than use their products to the best of their abilities.



PS - Multitasking; We can kind of do it. New concept, right? Oh, wait...

I've had my iphone 3G for over 2 and a half years now and it still works fine....

I own a G3 and G4 iMac that still work flawlessly as well as an iPad for a year with no quirks. It sounds like you just had a bad experience. Also there is multitasking in iOS4 and iOS5.

The 3GS came out in 2009 and is still supported.

I've had my iPod Nano 2nd Generation since the release year and it is still going strong. Baring in mind the release year was 2006..

Not being rude, but they're dragging out him dying a little bit too much... There's a limit and they passed it a week ago. The media is to blame for dragging it out, (Apple obviously can still mourn) they are literally coming up with any old boring story to report on about Jobs, and I can't help but think it's becoming disrespectful and unnecessary :/

Also, loads of places are literally making up information as they go. When did Jobs bring computers to the masses? And when did he create the internet? Loads of people are getting carried away and assuming Jobs created modern day phenomena such as the internet, the computer, the smartphone etc.

I think it is fair, he was after all a huge man in technology and in many respects did change the world. If the c-founder of a company dies they will put a lot up about it - even more so when it is a company as massive as Apple with such an influential co-founder..
