I was thinking that to be honest. Who would phone them and knowing they was there? Unless it was that person who was looking at Carol when she was cutting into that walker as a practice.

Exactly, how could a phone work in a zombie apocalypse? Maybe it's from Carol inside the prison ( don't think carol died ) which i think it's not possible. so it's probably rick hallucinating or something.

In the comics, the phone is a hallucinating and Rick believes he's talking to Lori, He carry's it around with him after the prison and often talks to it as he believes it keeps him sane.

The zombie's belly was big and bloated so i guess lori's body was probably eaten by that zombie in the room.
