Hm.
Seriously though, this could turn out to be Jeff's third strike. Therefore out of the Dub. Gutted for him tbh, his career could be going down the pan.

Hehe. I tend not to put news and stuff as I have to post on Gerweck, but yes, check out Gerweck.net for the latest updates on the Jeff incident. :)
Ah, right!
I would LOL if this was the situation.. I actually seen this on the Wrestlecrap forum [NSFW Website, beware!]
"Hi Jack! Did you see my Swanton Bomb last night? It was great, I brought my friend Billy Gunn on the plane. Yeah... he wants to meet the pilot, yeah I'm going to bring Gunn up to the cockpit. Yeah yeah, he's flying with me to do a shoot"
Hi Jack! - Thats a clever one! :)
But according to gerweck, and Matt Hardys blog, everything is fine, they (matt, jeff and Beth (Jeffs ladyfriend), went for sushi.
Someone emailed me the following. I actually laughed.
My physical address is 130 Green Meadow Lane, Cameron, North Carolina 30215. The dogs are in the enclosed pool rea. Garage side door is open.
LOL!!
That sent a tingle down my spine for some reason. My old MSN DP is the following.

Quite harsh :)
Ouch. I don't tend to look down on Benoit because it's obvious that he was out of control due to his mental state. I am sympathetic for him rather than damning him to hell like most people, where the problem is the majority not exploring the whole story.
Same. I was lucky enough to meet him in Manchester a few years back and he is one of the most humble men I have met. Where as on TV he looked like he could kill you. Its a real shame. But I guess making light of the situation is the best way to keep my mind away from really thinking about it as he genuinely was a great person. :(
With the brain of an 85-year-old Alzheimer's sufferer, you can't not expect such an act, of course that was not known until afterwards. That is why I do not hate on him. Of course, his actions cannot be justified, but he still does not need the hate because he was mentally damaged. I tend to reflect on his career rather than anything June 2007 and beyond.
Well done for that tbh. There is too many dipsticks who jump to the conclusion - BENOIT HAD BEEN PLANNING THIS ALL ALONG. I H8 BENOIT.
Its pathetic IMO.

Turns out Hardy was 'turned away' from the plane as he was under the influence of alcohol. He co-operated well with security and just planned a later flight.

Anyone seen TNA recently? I am loving it, Jarrett cut a kickass promo (almost shoot style) at Sting and Kurt Angle, Angle got all mad, jarrett pointed to the screen...
Looks like this could turn out watchable!
I'm sorry but I haven't laughed that hard in ages. Apart from that Chris Benoit was an amazing wrestler and you could tell something was never really right with him. Does anybody think his flying head butt had something to do with his mental problems? he did actually connect a lot of the time.
The Tennessean.com is reporting that Jeff Hardy was denied boarding on his flight home to North Carolina yesterday because he "appeared intoxicated at Nashville International Airport's Southwest gate" according to Southwest Airlines spokesman Chris Mainz. After his alleged intoxication was reported, Southwest denied his entry on the flight.
Hardy was not arrested and instead offered to take a later flight. He did not cause a scene at the airport.
Hope it all works out for Jeff
He "appeared" intoxicated. He had only drunk alcohol, it's not a Wellness Policy violation or anything. I don't see how it could or should effect his push in all honesty. The media over the situation before the genuine reason was revealed was just sensationalistic reporting, false eyewitness accounts, so he deserves to not be treated any different prior to Wednesday.
According to WWE's alcohol policy, it appears as if Jeff Hardy is indeed clear of any punishment people may have speculated he could/should receive. I have read a few posts on other websites presumptuously deciding that Hardy should be punished for "appearing" to be intoxicated and was subsequently setting a bad example to other wrestlers by sending the message that this type of behavior is allowed. Those condemnations are absurd to me as there was never any proof that he was in fact drunk, and if you read WWE's alcohol policy, he was in fact doing nothing against company regulations.
Here's WWE's official policy on alcohol abuse:
The use and/or abuse of alcohol in such a fashion so as to impair the ability to perform is prohibited by this Policy. Talent are expected to be free of the influence of alcohol when performing for WWE. Accordingly, the use of alcohol at any time twelve hours prior to any scheduled performance is prohibited by this Policy.
1. Testing for alcohol use or abuse in violation of this Policy shall be for reasonable cause only as defined in Section 7A.
2. The initial positive test for use and/or abuse of alcohol in violation of this Policy will be treated as a medical issue requiring evaluation for alcohol rehabilitation treatment. All subsequent positive tests for alcohol-related violations of this Policy shall be treated as disciplinary matters in accordance with this Policy.
Exactly. The policy states that wrestlers cannot be intoxicated at a show thus having a negative effect on their performance. Jeff was drinking post-show with time off before the next house show, it was in his own time. The WWE does not restrict people from living their own lives outside WWE.
To be honest everybody in the WWE should take a page out of CMpunk's book, he shot up like a rocket in the WWE because of his attitude towards narcotics and alcohol. He set a good role model for kids and young teens.
Not really, I mean more people drink alcohol then not, so it's really upto them whether they choose to drink or not. No one else who is straight edge is going to rise up the ranks now that it's already been sensationalised with Punk. Obviously those who dabble in drugs are punished, but with something that is perfectly legal, I think it's fine to remain on such a path. They all drink in moderation because of their schedules.
Oh yeah obviously a drink now and then isn't bad. Telling them they cannot drink is like trying to control their entire life away from the job. It's like with jeff, he took drugs and got punished for it, now he's off the drugs he's been accepted back into the WWE and by the fans. Punk sets a hight standard in the WWE I feel, he's the same size as jeff (nearly) and has the same sort of style, punk has been in the WWE a lot less than jeff has and punk has held 2 major championships already. If you compare them both together and the reasons why you will see mainly because punk is "straight egde". The fans adore him for being truthful and passionate about his life, some still don't like jeff because he thrown it all down the pan.
I feel if jeff didn't take drugs he would have held a major championship now, much like his brother matt.
I believe he would have been WWE Champion through the spring on RAW if he hadn't been suspended for the second time. As far as Punk is concerned, I believe he was rewarded simply because they needed to take the title away from SmackDown and needed a popular way to do it, basically, a transitional champion. He wasn't ready anyway.
I sort of agree, you validated my point there, punk was a popular wrestler because of his straight edge lifestyle, the wwe saw a way of boosting ratings if you will by handing him the title, happens with all wrestlers really. Jericho wouldn't have got the title if WWE didn't see a storyline out of it.

Results from Smackdown last night if anyone wants 'em
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that two Raw superstars are currently on the proverbial "chopping block" and may be in danger of being released.
Paul London, who hasn't been seen on TV in quite some time and isn't being used much on house shows, is said to be close to termination. He doesn't have any allies on the creative team which is why there has been no focus on repackaging him like they did with Kendrick.
Chuck Palumbo, who has yet to make his Raw debut since being drafted from Smackdown, is also very close to being released. It's said that Vince used to be high on his biker gimmick but grew tired of it rather quickly. In Palumbo's case, he has always had the support of Johnny "Ace" Laurinaitis, who was responsible for bringing him back into the company after his first stint with the company was over.
I like those two :(
I dont mind Palumbo going, he will be fine in Japan. Shame about london though.
SORRY FOR DOUBLE POST - PLEASE MERGE!
Cant wait for Helms to come back, shame its not his Hurricane gimmick as that supplied a few giggles. But yeah, will be a hoot...
...I'm just sayin'
Ah, Hurricane Helms. Everytime I hear that I laugh - it brings me back to when Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans and Helms came out for a match on RAW just as the damage had been done, with his theme, "Stand back, there's a hurricane coming through!" blaring. Priceless.
Ouch, I bet you the US equivalent of Ofcom had a busy night!
Helms is great. WMX8 have some of the greatest memories of him. Mighty molly pwnt helms!
