To put all this in to simplicity,
What is reputation?
Reputation is a sort of merit system like you get at a school with gold stars or smiley faces. The whole purpose or reputation is it is a way to award or punish users for the post they make or an alteration they have made.
What is my Reputation score or points?
Your reputation points which is the score you have can be found under the UserCp which you can access by clicking the link on the navigation or by clicking here. Your reputation score will affect two thing, number one your Rep Power and the number of green squares under your name.
What is Rep Power?
Everytime you rep someone, you add or remove a certain number of points from a user, the number of points you Add or Remove is dependent on your Rep Power this will increase as you get more and more reputation points.
So as an Administrator my rep power is 10 so whenever I rep someone I will add 10 points on to them or remove ten points from them depending if I good or bad rep them. Most new users with lowish rep will have the rep power of 1 or maybe 2.
If you are new then you need to have atleast 25 posts on the forum before your rep power will affect anyone.
How many different types of reputation is there?
There are 3 types of reputation which will appear in the UserCp
http://www.habboxforum.com/images/re...tation_pos.gif - Green Rep - This is positive rep which means this has added to your score
http://www.habboxforum.com/images/re...on_balance.gif - Grey Rep - This is Neutral rep which means that it made no affect on your score it may come from a good or bad reputation comment but none the less it makes no difference to your score.
http://www.habboxforum.com/images/re...tation_neg.gif - Red Rep - This is a Negative rep which means you have been bad repped for your post, this will deduct points from your reputation score.
What are all these squares under my rep power and location for?
Under your reputation power you have a series of squares, these reflect your reputation score.
There are 6 types of squares that can appear under your rep power on the forum. These will repeat depending on your score people with 10 to 99 rep points will have one green square whereas people with 100 - 199 rep points will have two green sqaures etc.
http://www.habboxforum.com/images/re...tation_pos.gif - User has good rep (the more squares better their rep)
http://www.habboxforum.com/images/re...on_highpos.gif - User has a high amount of good rep.
http://www.habboxforum.com/images/re...on_balance.gif - User has 0 rep points
http://www.habboxforum.com/images/re...tation_neg.gif - User has bad rep (the more squares the badder their reputation)
http://www.habboxforum.com/images/re...on_highneg.gif - User has a high amount of bad rep.
http://www.habboxforum.com/images/re...tation_off.gif - User has disabled their reputation from showing.
There can often be a combination of Good Rep and High Good Rep for users with an extreamly high number of points.
How to rep someone
To rep someone click on this icon http://www.habboxforum.com/images/bu...reputation.gif on their post a pop-up will appear asking if you "Approve" or "Disapprove" if you click "Approve" it will give them good rep whereas "Disapprove" will give them bad rep.
You MUST then add a comment as to why you have good or bad repped them like "I agree animal cruelty should be stopped" or "I dont agree with fox hunting being legalised again"
It is optional if you wish to add your name to the comment, to finish off click "add to reputation"
Habbox Forum Vips can view who the reputation came from and Administrators and Super Moderators can check who gave reputation to who.
Vip
As part of the Vip plan on Habbox,
Vips will gain 15 reputation points for every month bought, they can also see who gave them reputation.
Reputation Rules & Help
The reputation comments must still follow the Habbox Rules, abuse of the system will result in a ban or cautioning.
The comment box must also have some sort of comment in it to explain why you repped the user or we may remove it.
Also Pointless repping is not allowed nor is asking for reputation in anyway as yet again we will remove the points.
If you have recieved a reputation which has broken any of the habbox rules or you feel is pointless you may report it Here do not expect it to be done that day or the next as we check the thread about twice a week.
