In all fairness that was posted before you joined the argument.

True, but at the same time he never said that you were a bad coder, just an under-study.
Yeah but that doesn't make it the same.
And I think us arguing over that sentence is a bit silly.
lol irl. Agreed.
Well I'm off too. I think that's the last of Simon's opposition for tonight.
Night all x
Threads like these make my day - some idiot trying to argue with someone who has actually done something and losing at every attempt.
Believe me, if you were arguing with Scott, Mr. Excellent, then you'd lose before he even posted.
too long; didn't read: YOU CAN'T WIN ARGUMENTS, EXCELLENT.
Invent is right - this forum has gone to the dogs in the last six months, particularly the Web Development forums.
Normal thread:
OP: Hi, I'm working on x project
User 1: It'll fail, don't bother.
OP: No it won't, I'll make sure it doesn't.
User 1: It's still going to fail, don't waste your time.
User 2: Hey, shutup User 1. If OP wants to try with x, let him.
User 1: User 2, shutup. I've been here longer than you. I know when a project is going to fail.
User 2: You're just saying that because your project y completely got screwed up when your domain got hacked.
User 1: No, my domain didn't get hacked, my host just shut down and my work was lost. I don't get hacked, I'm not 12 years old.
User 2: No, you're 13.
User 1: "Age is no measure of maturity". Stop talking about my age, it doesn't matter how old I am.
User 3: User 1, you have like 300 posts, and you're thirteen. Get out of these forums, you know nothing.
User 1: User 3, you only have 600 posts, you can hardly talk.
OP: ... What happened to my thread?!
Seriously. I'm being a hypocrite now, because I'm going off topic as well, but can we honestly keep the Web Dev forums to discuss Web Dev? Stop making derogotory comments, stop making a thread go over 70 posts just because of a stupid argument.
Invent, don't leave because of someone who wants to post about 20 times in a thread just because of terminology. It'd be a total shame to lose a brilliant developer from these forums. Put him on your Ignore List, and move on.
