If budget is an issue can I ask how much you would need and where the money would go @GoldenMerc; ? If it's for SEO or re-engaging old users, that has been proven not to work. Do you need a budget to engage people within the hotel? You should have been working with department managers to get some campaigns on the table really. If you need money for furniture, I have an abundance of coins (around 1k gbs) on the hotel if it's required. Though I'm quite sure that laura and habbox in general isn't really struggling right now. What exactly would the budget go to?
@Expling; How has your role been going? Have you considered reaching out on social media more? Is that even part of your role, IDK? Replying to people's tweets, holding FB competitions, etc. works REALLY well for the younger generation.
@Martin; I'm so glad that you're back in a management position, though it does feel like you're taking on a bit of the burden that should be on those higher than you. Not that I'm complaining - you're passionate, you know what you're doing, and you get shit done.
We don't actually use the FB page (it just posts our tweets I'm sure) so that isn't something that I've been doing but replying to people and hosting competitions is definitely something we've all worked harder on - it was a team effort (and probably always will be) and won't really be just one persons job, we've been encouraging managers to help with social media activity too!!
Personally I've just been working on new ideas on keeping and hiring staff, we've just released a staff challenges which is super exciting and some behind the scenes people are going to be working hard with me on some other mini ideas I have (you have probably seen the recruitment ambassadors).
RN though my aim is to set up a 'what we offer page' with Laura which will list all our rewards and hopefully persuade people to join as well as updating each individual department page on /jobs with information about that department, what they offer and a few quotes from staff within that dept currently. I'm also going to hopefully do some other cute little things like sending PMs to hardworking staff and offer them some extra VIP and a forum award or something (I've been trying to give some free VIP to new people that sign up and speak to me which has kept a few people around so that's good too).
I agree with Martin taking on the big task but I'm sure over time we can make it so it's evenly balanced (eventually it should really just be Martin compiling a bunch of paragraphs) and I think it may be a good idea to add a bit about what the GM team are doing too? If you do need any help with it though @Martin; do let us know and I'm sure one of us can give you a hand :)
Likewise if any of you guys want me working on something specific then let me know and I'll have a think about it!
Spoke to a couple of your ambassadors and they (and i) think its a silly idea and the rewards they get should be, at the least, for all staff not just them

What I offered was some VIP for each person they get to sign up, as well as some VIP for the people who sign up and contact me - they were selected carefully and it was always going to be mainly them who are helping hire and whatnot, opening it up to all staff might be an idea yes but if someone did constantly refer people (on the fast apps) then we'd discuss giving them a prize too.
Is there a list somewhere with who these ambassadors are? I'm sure they used to be on the staff list but unless I'm blind I can't find them now, and idk if anything has been announced about them etc.
Nah, the idea of ambassadors was always to be unofficial but would be recognised if we were to do something recognisable (e.g. an event, I'd thank them individually) - there's currently 5: Cameron446:, Yuxin, Nuxty, Joe and despect. All were selected by me, Laura & Kelly for different reasons but for now it'll remain unofficial so no announcements unfortunately.
Is Charlie definitely continuing now that he's resigned from articles due to having no time for Habbox? :P
ALSO WHY WASN'T I SELECTED MY AGM APP WAS FAB, *feels left out* although to be fair in my opinion managers should automatically be doing everything they possibly can to recruit staff for all departments anyway haha!
