Although this rioting is the wrong way to solve the country's problems and is taking advantage of this extreme situation, I don't think anybody can deny the fact that this has been building up for a long time now. For example, a lot of those rioters have had benefits cut, and then been told a month later that the uk is giving £841million in aid to vaccinate people as a precautionary measure on another continent, that's about £15 per person in the entire country. If I was as heavily affected as some of these people i'd also be quite angry.
I think what is sad is the UK has voiced its opinion and the facts about what is happening is very clear, but it seems that the people running the country only take notice when it turns violent on a massive scale and innocent people end up having their lives ruined by such events, and some possibly even killed.
When the coalition government took office, it made promises of cuts to better the economy. But the truth is there weren't any real cuts, the money just got moved away from those who needed it most.
