Sadly, yes, I heard. The numbers are rising in deaths. They expect even more drastic weather.
My family already donated, but not through Care International, through Would Vision.

So far 22,000 dead, hopefully they can get some international aid in there to help the people :(
Was it like a freak weather condition like when there was a mini-tornado in Lincolnshire or was it a normal tsunami.
Its a shame that so many people lost there homes and lives, i find it quite upsetting finding about mass loads of people dieing

it was an eartquake were the Eurasian plate and Indian plate meet. The tsunami was so strong it destroyed fishing ports in Africa! So far there are 23,000 peeps dead and rising. 12 british are dead. :(
It was only a few months ago since the tornado in the Carribean.
Yeh deaths are raising at this very moment more are being found dead 1million people forced from their homes :( very tragic
I hope if anyone has relatives or friends in the affected countries that they are safe and sound.
Apparently the earth was deformed and shacken off its usual rotation axis :rolleyes:
From what i can make out, it was a realy powerful earth quake, 8.3 of somthing, wich devistted near by arias, and caused the tusamis to hit other arias thuther away. im not yet shore why theres so much focus on the tusmi condisring itsthe earth uke that killed most the peopel?
Sadly the death toll has reached 60,000 - 70,000
24 people uot of that are britions.
Plus half of the people killed were children.
It is said that Indonesia to be the worst affected with 20,000 deaths
then sri lanka being next with around 15,000.
Very tragic.
