i think getting the prayer ruined it so should i start over on a new pure or continue on with this?

I don't see the point in pures.
Why not train the skills on your main?
Ive seen very good pures with 90+ range and mage with 52 prayer doesnt really ruin a pure.

what is a pure? someone who only uses mage and range?

No, it's good to have some prayer. :) Get mage up to 82 for ice blitz, it owns in the wildy, trust me. :P
