When Grace leaves the front door is still open, so housemates could of easily ran up those stairs.

Why would they try to escape?

Well, looking back at BB3, they so could of escaped. There's one door separating the house and the outside world.

Well in BB1 there was just one door, and they all went outside the front door to wave them away. XD
They wouldn't escape and lower their chances of a presenting job. ^^
