Yep, I think merchant on F2P world is the best way to make money... Thing is that you need money to make money...

Kill cows and sell cowhides 100gp each till you have about 200k then merchant

Just merchant then not much you can merchant with 66k though

my other acc ( FRIENDS )
has whip on it ( that i made by my self )
but i aint gonna spend 5 bucks on it just for a whip =\
