im 15 i started my periods a few years ago but
my mum wont let me use tampons because she says
ill lose my virginity 2 them which is really stupid!
what shall i do?

lose your virginity to tampons? lirl!

soz. talk to your dad/other relative about it.

or go to the doctors with your mum and make the doctor tell your mum more information.

You cannot lose your virginity by using a tampon, as they do not go in your vagina deep enough to break you in. If you wish to use tampons, tell your mother it is your choice, however some girls prefer just to use "pads" as they find them more comfortable.

Using a tampon won't make you lose your virginity. Your mother should know that. Use them anyway.

Some people do believe that using tampons and make you 'loose' your vaginity because it breaks the hymen. If you feel confortable explain to your mum it doesnt mean this too you or like sugested show her a website. If all else fails say you need them for school swimming

Is there anybody close to your mum that would support you in this and maybe speak to her on your behalf. It does sound very oldfashioned of her and quite terrible for you :(
