Spaceman - Continue?

I made flame boots before, and today i was bored so i decided to edit this abit. What i want to know is, should i continue and make a helmet etc?
I may also animate it :P

Ill first make the helmet as a layer and then add another layer with it closed, and animate it that way :P

Make a helmet and you won't look like a spaceman, you'll look like a person who rides a motobike.. but metalist :S

Its also a shame the flames are saved as JPG. Try edit it :)

Is the shading good?

i wouldnt call that shading but more gradient, use less colours inbetween dark and light

I fixed the flames, and i wont bother putting on a helmet!

Its not excactly a spaceman. A little bit of a false name.

The colouring is quite odd. If the light is coming from one direction why is it like that. Incidentally theres not much light in space.

And i know you're only not doing the helmet because you dont have the skill.

Maybe try something less ambitious (ie something that doesn't involve much though about light and shading) or take a few tutorials first.
