The Manchester United striker has finally given in to the knee problems that have affected him for the last four years.
Some good news to United fans, he is expected to take up a coaching role and may be considored as an ambasador.

The goal i will always remember him for was 1998 treble - euro cup. I was like 8 then and i just remember the commentator screaming AND SOLSKJAER HAS DONE IT! NAME ON THE TROPHY!

I did like 100 laps around the living room as i used to be a massive united fan wen i was younger.. although i still follow them and see an odd game a season.

what a legend. i'll never forget the time man united were 4-1 up against nottingham forest (away from home) and he came on as a sub and scored 4 times in 20 minutes and they won 8-1.
Was a quality player on his day, shame he got that injury 'cause I'm sure he would still be getting played by United.. How long has he been there?
