Exactly, they do it for attention, and i wonder who will be the first to reply with, i like cheese. =]
But seriously, theres no need to go overboard with things like spoons and cheese.
It's okay to a certain level, and then they just go too far and most of the time it's because they think their funny when you do it, and it's just ott really.
Cant stand them at all. We got them all the time in school, their just attention seeking so i just ignore them and they realise that no one is interested and shut up because their not getting a laugh out of anyone. Those type of people need to grow up and get a life.
When people are random like that and just shout random words I must admit i do find it quite irratating but each to there own I guess :)
If it makes them happy doing it then hey why not ?

I love sittin there in class and randomly saying things :) but when i say it plp laugh.
