I was talking to my dad about it yesterday, and I raised the point that Mohammed (and its various spellings) is the most popular name in the world, and that a large number of the people in Sudan are probably named Mohammed themselves, and he said that what was like to be the problem is the fact that it's an inanimate object being given what they perceive as a holy name. I know we all see it as nonsense but they are strong believers in their faith (which I respect, better than being a weak believer like most people over here) and their country is run by religion, and is the law over there.
I disagree with the idea of killing her over it, as it wasn't meant in such a way and Islam doesn't teach that sort of thing anyway, but I can see where they're coming from.
