mohamed Teddy.

Well as you all know Gillian Gibbons was jailed for four days and is now released was jailed for inciting racial hatred. So does this mean i could get someone jailed for not supporting everyones religion? If someone called there son Joseph could i get them arrested? Could i be put in jail for not using a capitail letter for the name mohamed?
I think this has all gone too far.

Well it has obviously gone too far. For s start she only let the kids call it Mohhamed.
The kids came up with the name..

I just think everyoen hates England and are looking for excuses..

As i've sed in the spam thread, i think its utter madness.
Why are they allowed to do this sort of thing to British people and if we did it to a Muslim they're would be an uproar and it would be racist?

so if an islamic kid called there teddy jesus or something does that mean we get the right to send him to jail.

I was talking to my dad about it yesterday, and I raised the point that Mohammed (and its various spellings) is the most popular name in the world, and that a large number of the people in Sudan are probably named Mohammed themselves, and he said that what was like to be the problem is the fact that it's an inanimate object being given what they perceive as a holy name. I know we all see it as nonsense but they are strong believers in their faith (which I respect, better than being a weak believer like most people over here) and their country is run by religion, and is the law over there.

I disagree with the idea of killing her over it, as it wasn't meant in such a way and Islam doesn't teach that sort of thing anyway, but I can see where they're coming from.

Why kill somone for calling a teddy mohamed? Pointless if I was gordon brown I would get our army people to go get her she shouldnt be killed for a misstake.
