Okay, is it weird for me not to be having a huge party for my 18th birthday? I prefer to be around my family on the day, and maybe a handful of friends on the day before. A lot of people go crazy over such milestone birthdays, but I don't particularly like parties anyway, what with the dancing and the feeling of not knowing whether people are actually enjoying themselves or they think the party is boring etc. Your views would be appreciated.

you can see your friends and family any other day, i'd go out partying all night tbh. but yeh i don't really find it weird, my brother had a party in the house with mostly family for his and it was a good laugh.
I went out for dinner on my 18th last month. Nothing special. :)
If it's your birthday, you should do what ever makes you happiest. It's your day, make it a good one :)
I'm not having a party lol.
My mate wanted me to have one 'cos he won't be 18. But I'm going to one of cities nearby (Leeds or Manchester) for my 18th.
