No because Edge is not '2G' nor is it the second generation iPhone lol.

The first gen iphone..

The iPhone 2G was called iPhone egde as it was the connection type such as iPhone 3G <- had 3g..

There was iPhone (which used 2G technology, GPRS) and then there was iPhone 3G (which uses EDGE).
