Okay this is pretty darn simple.
Plug in your Ipod and open Itunes and click where your ipod is. After you click it, look for the button that says restore or whatever. Try that. If that doesnt work I would try this:
Just Hold down the middle and left click button until the screen goes black. After it does let go and let it "ReBoot" like a computer.
If that doesnt help you should try this out I picked up off of one my friends:
Hold down the Center and Menu button at the same time.
The minute the screen goes black, Press the LEft click and center button at the same time.
If you have done this right, a green screen will pop up! your now in the Ipods central spot. Be careful to follow these directions:
PLEASE NOTE! IT YOU GO INTO A SPOT YOU DIDNT WANT TO JUST SIMPLY PRESS THE MENU BUTTON!
1.) Scroll down to the TouchWheel Section (To scroll use the left and right click)
2.)Hit the Center Button
3.) You should see Touchwheel ID and WheelAnd Key
4.) Scroll down to WheelAndKey
5.) This is where you test all the buttons and stuff to make sure it works!
6.) Just hit each button in the order:
Menu Key
Next Key
Prev Key
Play Key
Action Key (Center button)
7.) Look at the bottom row of data. It should say what I just typed. If that button is working a number will pop up next to it.
8.) Now test the volume. Just move your thumb or finger on the wheel to the right. Almost all of the numbers: (1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9) should turn into a star (*). It is okay if one or two are left out.
After doing that, determine what happened. By this I mean to make a list of everything that didnt turn into a number or a star. If didnt please list it.
If your wondering how to get out of that screen just hold down the Center and menu button and dont click anything! :)
