I'm just curious about this
So what are your views bout it?
I think it does,cause if you live so far from someone,the closeness is not there anymore.Yeah,you can communicate via all the technologies, but I still think that a face to face communication is vital in making the friendship alive.But maybe these are just my views,so what's yours?

I think a friendship can be and remain pretty strong despite a distance (no matter how small or how large) nowadays. Technology has made it more practical, you can talk on the phone or using skype, you can video call people so you can see them, you can email, use msn.. possibilities are endless. So yeah I think if you put in the effort and the time to speak to someone the friendship can be as strong as ever.

Theres no doubt it can remain strong, but it will deffinately be affected by the distance, probably in a negative way as wel.

I think it can be hard to keep friendships when you're far apart. Basically all of my previous friends who have moved I barely talk to anymore, or see. I guess when you separate you find new friends and move on.
I think it is. My friends moved away and we really dont speak. It is sad.
Relationships, friendships are obviouslt going to be affected by the distance in which you live. If you can't see each other, the only fun you can have is via technology, while in ur real life at home, u have friends there to go out with, slowly moving away from this best friend or whatever...:/
I still think that friendship is affected by distance.Well,I still feel that nothing comes close than actually being there and enjoying all the things you do together that will strengthen the bond.Yes,you can still keep in touch but I think in some ways you have stopped building up memories and only have old memories to talk about.
I can see where you are coming from, and yes it is better to have friends where as you can communicate with them in person; face to face. But I see nothing wrong with becoming really good friends with people online, I always find people online understand you better than people you origonally know in real life.And who knows, you may meet that online friend sometime in your life, maybe not even realising it, or maybe organising to meet up? Over all, I see nothing wrong with it, and I feel you can be just as close with e-friends as the friends you see in real life.
