It's good for what it is but if I had 2TB of storage I would not go down the USB 2.0 route. With USB 2.0 it would take forever to fill up due to its very slow file transfers. USB 2.0 is fine for Memory Sticks, but for large amounts, I think not.
I would either go for internal drives, ethernet or USB 3.0
No point in buying a USB 3.0 drive if he hasn't got a 3.0 capable motherboard.
Not bad for the price.
I'd buy a more brand name harddrive unless that name is comon in the uk?
If the external isn't going anywhere you may as well buy an internal on. External HDDs are on really good for chucking around files all the time, and having 2TBs of files to chuck around all the time is quite impressive :P
I decided to keep the hard drive and keyboard/mouse on hold.
I rather build a brand new computer with heckles of space, I be making a new thread later on hopefully.

Nah, cards are only about a pound cheaper than memory sticks, they can be damaged and lost ever so easily and by the time you put a case on one, they'll be bigger than a memory stick. Plus you also need to carry around a USB Card Reader which often requires drivers and can be quite big.
