Should I dump him

This person asked me out two days ago, we've been friends for a while. A load of people found out today and in my last unit everyone was taking the Mick, laughing or telling me to dump him. Apparently he's a nerd but he's really not.

I don't want my rep to go down even more but that's really tight to dump someone because of what people say. I've done that not long ago.

You have to think about it this way..

Do you actually like this guy? If so, stay with him, if not, break up with him.
It's extremely out of order to dump someone because of your 'reputation' around school.

You're not going to get any more or less hated whatever your decision, and if you'd dump someone you like due to what some people say then it's no wonder you're 10th most hated.

You shouldn't break up with someone just because of 'status'.
Who cares what people say about you, you're yourself, no-one can change that and if you love this guy, you have the right to love him, no matter what people say.
People shouldn't be involved within a relationship, so don't go around doing what people tell you because if you do that, you'll get nowhere in life.

Just think about it, do you love this guy? or do you just want to lower yourself down and break up with someone because of what 'position' you are in school.

you shouldnt be asking other people whether you should dump him or not. make it your choice not everybody elses. it seems the problem with you is you're trying to be friends with everyone, you will never be friends with everyone, it's impossible. if you like him, keep it going, but don't play him.

your "rep" will go down even further if you dump him : /

there was a reaaaaaaallllyy nice guy at school who asked me out but he was quite big, i said no cause i'm shallow and wanted to keep my 'rep' thinking i was too good for him.
2 years later i'm going to college, see a reaaaaaaaally fit guy and find out it's him, now he's the one too good for me (y)
at least "nerds" can have a decent conversation, are intelligent and interesting ;o


also being hated is quite fun :)

I dumped him - nicely though, I explained everything. But he got my best friend to have a big convo persuading me to go out with him. Just found that part out. Oh the joy - I was nearly persuaded
