Was just wondering, would it be possible to have a new section/sub-forum created for 'Post your' threads.
They're not completely annoying, but sometimes do overrun the forum which is a little irritating.
Not sure where'd you go with this ;p

Agreed.
Post counts wouldn't even have to increase in them, but it would be pretty cool.
Maybe even just a subforum under spam?
They do tend to lower Discuss Anything into the realms of Spam even though it is one of the best sections of the forum for some good discussion. 'Post your...' threads are on par with forum games in my eyes - they more often than not require short one or two word responses and offer little to none discussion value. But as they aren't actually games, a sub-forum in Spam is a very logical course of action methinks.
HabboxForum is trying to reduce the number of forums so I dont think it will be likely to happen. Its best to have them in Forum Games instead of a sub-forum in Spam as its not really "spam".
Ohh forgot about Forum Games :P
I'm sure there was a ban on these once and if you wanted to have a post your thread you had to PM a mod or something...
There was strict rules on "Post Your" threads when Professor-Alex was Forum Manager. (Although he blames MAD for it) where you had to have permission from the Forum Manager to get it posted. When that happened I believe a few people got banned for like 24 hours or something for going against management. I think a Moderator got fired as well! :P
amgaz tragedy.
Erm, as you are a member of the tech forum are you talking about the tech "Post your" threads?
My main concern is that they aren't actually that bad of threads really and the decent ones tend to be stuck at the top of the forum and separate from the other discussion threads anyway.
Will evaluate this upon user reaction to this thread.
I think the main problem with these threads is when a million and one get posted at once, if they were posted in a more sporadic way I doubt they'd cause much problem.
I'm not going to stop people making such threads because I think it's a silly idea, to create a sub forum for them individually - I believe the sub forum woul dbe quite inactive and as we like to keep as minimal forums as possible, I don't think this is a plausible idea.
