I don't think I'm too different but I would say that irl stuff you do everyone remembers so I can be more open online :')
I was a right cocky little **** when I used to play Habbo but then again I am irl too
More open I guess, and more outgoing. But not VERY different from real life.
With me its the case of WYSIWYG
One thing i can't stand is 'fake' people, yeah its the internet go wild 'be who you want to be' but if thats what people do, i'd prefer a nice balance.
Maybe 70-80% truth, Less ********.
Nice thread tho, wouldnt of thought of one of these myself :) +rep
I don't really get why people have to create this "fake" persona - although i'm quite shy meeting people face-to-face, i can on habbo, so i guess im more confident? But pretty much the same.
but it's different irl.....most people are teenagers here and irl i'd most likely act different towards people, it depends my boundaries and how our relationship was? online it's different...
i adapt to my situations:
at college with people i'm not really comfortable with, i'm quiet.
with strangers or elderly people i'm polite, friendly and nice.
however, with my close friends and family, i'm totally cray cray and annoying and that's where i say or do everything i've ever wanted to but haven't been able to because it wasn't appropriate lol like when i wanna give my views/opinions on stuff or say how i feel in general then that's when i do it. i thought that's what friends and family were for.
i can go from being quiet to totally hyper within minutes and vice versa.
my personality just depends what it's appropriate for it, it's all me just different sides. so i can't say really :) i don't have anything to prove or lose online so i act how i feel at the time...
i'm the same, i've always been this much of a **** - ask anyone. IT'S TRUE.
I try to act as much alike my real life self online as i can. However online it's a totaly different place, it doesn't feel like you're talking eye to eye with a human and therefore it's normal to be at least a little bit different online, you can't help it. Most people who say they are exactly the same online and offline, wouldn't be telling you the truth.
Even on facebook for example (even though most people know everybody on there from real life) , loads of people say stuff there they would never say in real life.
