My cat :(

My cat is being but down tonight because its got kidney failure, does anyone else cat suffer with this? Its usually occurs in older cats. I'm obviously really sad but with was my first ever pet and Ive had him 10 years :(

Sorry to hear that, Ben. My Nan's cat had the same problem and had to be put down too.
It is better than the cat suffering. I know you will be sad but hopefully you will have pictures of him/her and remember the fun times you had although you will feel sad for awhile - it is only natural.

Yer we are getting a canvas with him on. The vets got to put him down at our house, because he doesn't like going to the vets and if we try to get him there the stress will kill him anyway, its the only option :( He hasn't been eating either, at least he will not be suffering anymore as you said.

Well that is nice of the vet and he will simply go to sleep and not have to suffer anymore. It would not be kind to let him carry on like that. 10 years is a good age for a cat.

Yes, my 17 year old cat died 2 years ago and it was devestating because I had known him my whole life. In the end I felt it was for the best because he was obviously suffering badly but I couldn't be in the room while it was done. :(

I might be there too see him go, you know his last minutes.

I'm sorry to hear about your cat. My aunties cat had to be put down not long ago because of a number of issues, but he was a fairly old cat.

Dude I'm sorry :/

Just spend as much time as you can with your cat now so it pass on happy. It's horrible when this happens but it is for the best.

My cat was just two when he died ;(
