They seem desperate for new applications to me, though I can't blame them all the big ones are.
I'd love to see Windows Phone 7 take off, Android and iOS could do with some good competition seeing as BlackBerry appears to be out of the game now.
I'm not sure if I see this working particularly well, if people are developing for existing platforms, there wont be any platform-specific software for WP7 to entice people to the product, much like Apple does when they feature Apps from the App Store in their TV ads.
When they say porting I wonder if it's going to be native code or run on some sort of layer.Quote:

Ok, when I said Windows CE, I didn't mean straight Windows CE, I meant the Windows CE they use to back the Zune UI etc, not that POS UI on a tiny touch screen from the 2000 era. LMAOQuote:

No I loved it. I got a NEC 900 and everything, I really did love my HPCs. I liked WM. I don't know why the ditched it completely.Quote:
