Windows 8 is going to be a tablet OS as well. Makes sense, unlike the Mac appstore.Quote:

I really like the idea of an app store, I suppose this is where you can download your add-on tiles
I think you're underestimating the time frame here, Apple do not want to cannibalise OSX until iOS has the ability for good quality content creation otherwise they risk having all the photographers etc. moving to windows in order to edit things which still represents a majority of their userbase.
None of us are Windows 8ers really.... Oh and I didn't laugh. Was expecting it!

For a better article.
Thanks for the article Matt.
I'll admit I don't and never did use ANY app store on any platform for its intended purpose of purchasing applications. the OS X store, the iOS store, Android Market I all use but I only use it to discover new apps. I then use -- well -- other methods of obtaining said apps!
Oh cool. I guess you pirated snow leopard and lion as well then? You're probably pirating Windows as well just to troll us.
On a slightly less corporate note; most of those are indie devs who are trying to make app development into a profession, I'm sure that you can relate to such theft, like if someone ripped off your code, plagerised it.. whatever. I guess it's the end of the world when someone uses your code in their project but it's ok for someone to steal apps? I can understand doing it to larger companies if you genuinely can't afford it but don't steal from the indys.
