Unfortunately, this competition is open to VIP members who have a subscription of 2012 Christmas Charity VIP (whether it be active or inactive).
It's that time of the year again, Christmas is upon us. The tacky jumpers leave the wardrobes, the celotape begins to have a purpose and Santa begins to wish that petrol was a lot cheaper. Naturally, in true Habbox tradition, we're asking you (the Christmas Charity VIPs) to participate in a joint Christmas sing-a-long. Once the song has been produced to a chart-breaking standard, it will be burnt to disk and dispatched in all well known supermarkets... ok maybe not, but it will be available for you all to download as a memory of 2012!
You may recall a thread in feedback which asked for your opinions on which song we should choose this year... and the winner (by quite the majority) is.. Geraldine McQueen - Once Upon a Christmas Song ... If you've not heard of the song or want to refresh your memory then click here to go to the tube.
What do I need to? It's quite simple, choose a free section of the song (as sectioned below) and simply post in this thread which part you'd like to take! It's a first come first serve so get in there quick. Once you've chosen a piece of the song and it's been confirmed, go ahead and record yourself with your beautiful angelic voices (or not as the case may be) with a programme such as Audacity (free) preferably in time and tone of the original song as we will be using the original song's backing with backing vocals sung by the resident Habbox1 choir. 1. The Habbox choir is fictional and in fact the vocals will be provided by the source of the backing track so thank you in advance. Once you've woken those vocal cords and you're happy with what you've recorded, then simply e-mail it (preferably in .wav format) to [email protected] and await a reply from Habbox Santa confirming that you've made your first courageous step towards becoming a pop star. You should remember to include your forum name and the section number which you have sung in your e-mail. Please put which section you are singing in the e-mail title, this'll make it much easier for the elves to sort through.
Please note: You will have one week from 'taking' the part below to send your clip to Habbox Santa, if he doesn't receive your clip by then, the slot will be designated to somebody else.
Once Santa has all of the clips he'll pass them to matt.x.garner a well known music producer to 'stick' them together and make it public for you all to hear!
Good luck and in true Gene Kelly style... "Dignity, always dignity"
[SECTION ONE]
Once upon a Christmas song,
Everybody sang along,
[SECTION TWO]
You’d see the joy on every face,
And the world it seemed a happier place,
[SECTION THREE]
These songs bought us together,
Good time memories forever, [SECTION FOUR]
Now I know what they mean,
And what they’ve given to me,
[SECTION FIVE]
I’d have never believed,
Because we’d be singing them,
[SECTION SIX]
Over and over, and over again,
Every December they get in our heads,
[SECTION SEVEN]
Turn em’ up, play em loud,
Every Christmas should be the same,
[SECTION EIGHT]
Singing them over and over, and over and over again. [SECTION NINE]
They say they’re good for the soul,
But someone tell me I don’t know,
[SECTION TEN]
Why no one seems to write them no more,
So the only way to settle the score,
[SECTION ELEVEN]
Is to all make way for a new one,
That keeps the heart of the old one,
[SECTION TWELVE]
With a little bit of festive cheer,
And you’ll know when Christmas is near,
[SECTION THIRTEEN]
When this record appears, once a year,
You’ll be singing this over and over, and over again,
[SECTION FOURTEEN]
Every December you’ll hear it and say,
Turn it up, play it loud,
[SECTION FIFTEEN]
Every Christmas should be the same,
Singing it over and over, and over and over again,
[SECTION SIXTEEN]
It’s getting in your head,
It’s getting in your head,
[SECTION SEVENTEEN]
And if your not singing it all night,
You’d be telling a lie,
[SECTION EIGHTEEN]
You’ll be singing this over and over, and over again,
Every December you’ll hear it and say,
[SECTION NINETEEN]
Turn it up, play it loud,
Every Christmas should be the same,
[SECTION TWENTY]
Singing it over and over, forever and ever again,
[SECTION TWENTY-ONE]
Over and over, and over again,
[SECTION TWENTY-TWO]
Over and over, and over again,
[SECTION TWENTY-THREE]
Over and over, and over again,
[SECTION TWENTY-FOUR]
Over and over, and over again,
[SECTION TWENTY-FIVE]
Over and over, and over again,
[SECTION TWENTY-SEVEN]
Over and over, and over again,
[SECTION TWENTY-EIGHT]
Over and over, and over again.
