Messi sets new world record for goals

Lionel Messi has just set a new world record for most goals in a calender year. 86 goals and counting!

Amazing.

Having said that, a lot of the defenders he faces in la liga are very, very poor.

Despite what Matt said Messi is unbelievable. The greatest footballer of all time.

Either way, 86 goals in a year is impressive at any professional level of football. It'll be a long, LONG time before that records beaten IMO.

Yeah definitely!

Mullers record stood for 35 years or something and unless ronny beats it next year I can't see it being beaten for a while! (except by messi of course)

Messi has played more games than Muller did, and Muller actually won trophies in the same year.

What a player! Messi is the best player i have ever seen & has still got 3 more games to play in (1 being the cup so he may be a sub) so i reckon he will end up gettin 90 goals!

Deserves it, what an achievement.
