It's pretty silly tbh. If parents block it then that could stop children getting important help... :S

I'm very supportive of internet filters, provided: they are not a result of ANY government legislation & that they are opt-in rather than opt-out. Provided those two requirements are met, then parents have every right to teach their children what they think are suitable lifestyles as children are not the property of the state - and private companies have every right to cater to the preferences of parents who are paying for the service.
I'm against the filtering. I wouldn't know anything about gay lifestyle.. but self-harm and STIs are very important subjects. Access to this type of information could save some people's lives.. I personally do not think parents should be able to block sites like these. I wouldn't if I had children
why would you filter sti? i don't get it!
i can understand the filter of gay lifestyle (OBVIOUSLY do not agree at all) if a parent didn't 'agree' with it or were religious nuts or what not, i can understand the filter on self harm, in case a child were to google ways of self harm
but what negativity can come from googling STIs? lol
Well now Tara can't google what's wrong with her anymore :s what use is that
It's only going to get worse.

Omg matt that website I LOVE IT
is this filter already in place as I haven't actually checked
don't want no government seeing red flags when I look at myfootfetish.tk (THIS DOESNT EXIST OK DONT EVEN TRY IT)
although how would it work with porn-based blogs like tumblrs or instagrams?

on topic a bit more err
if BT is going to allow personalised filters on things like STIs, they should surely allow filters on content of all spectrums such as shopping if they don't want young children to do online purchases etc or graphic games/videos
this is the only the start
