[@BBCNews]King Charles has already granted dissolution of parliament and a general election on 4 July, says PM. Sunak announced without umbrella in pouring rain and with blare of blaster in background. Inauspicious pic.twitter.com/5qcaEZXLyb

This is the most farcical General Election launch in history.Disastrous launch. Dull speech. PM drenched - not even making a joke about it. Labourās āThings that can only get betterā playing in the background.

I literally just landed in the UAE and came online to see an announcement was imminent.
God I can't WAIT to vote Sunak and the Tories out. Either by voting for a Farage-led Reform or sitting on my hands and not voting. Either way, the result will still be the same - total devastation for the Tories who've stabbed voters like me in the back.
