Expandable Iframes

I Was Talking To The BobbleFM.co.uk owner and he said his site uses expandable iframes.

Could Somebody Tell Me What They Are And How To Use Them?

Are you sure he didnt say or mean Expandable Tables??

There is nothing called expandable Iframes or tables ''/

he said expandable iframes and if you look its got a didfferent frame so it's either expandable frames or iframes...I think :s

At Organised, Yes there are such thing as Expandable Tables "/

arent they just tables?

No they are to do with Layouts etc...

Organised is right there is no Such thing as Expandable tables all bloody tables expand, There is no such thing as expandable iframes, Tables is an alternative if you want your content to expand down the screen you use tables, if you don't you use iframes simple, so tell the bobblefm owner he has no clue what he's tlaking about if he thinks hes used expandable iframes.

@Numark: i'd shutup now as you don't know what your on about, what d you think if you use tables it'll just keep writing and it'll go off the screen so the visitor can't see? , the point i tables is o the content goes down like a table.

So basically they're both the same. and there is no such thing as far as i know that there are expandable iframes.

Any table will expand. But it will most likely 'break' the layout unless its coded in such a way that it doesnt 'break' the layout when the table expands.

Yeh if you can code tables properly then it'll work out fine and Numark read my last post the bototm bit please.

You can get expandable iframes with javascript but why not just use an include "/ ..

Yeh but i think he means just normal Html coding, to get an iframe.

use php expand stuff dunno how it works someone just sent me a layout in php once and the layout grows as you add more

I'm not sure what you mean about the expandable Iframe. But isn't there a command in CSS which you can create it into a "Iframe".

So then once you reach 200px, the div will enable a scrolling bar?

you can do it, put the iframe in an expandable table

that won't work because the iframe requires height and with and there is a deafault

I think you will find I do have a clue what I'm not about. You can create an expandable iFrame with the help of some javascript.

He/She has the right to say their opinion so, but 'telling' them to shutup will not to nothing but set a bad impression of yourself.

Define width in % and it will exspand to that % of the window size what ever window size they have..

There ARE Tables and Expandable tables.

For instance, if you create a table and set its height of 300px, and only include text inside the table, i.e something saying 'Hello', then it will not resize, UNLESS the text within the table meets the Tables width, in which case the Table might have to expand.

You can create a resizable iFrame with the use of a little javascript; google it.

He/She may not want to use PHP includes if they are creating a website with an online radio on it; as it can get fairly annoying when you have to change pages and the radio will also reload.

This is also why all radio sites, or most, use iFrames.

Basically, if you want a resizable iFrame google it. It may not give you the entire code, but give it some study.

How does that make it exspandable or not exspandable? tables exspand when they need to, hence makeing them exspandable?
Thats a NORMAL table, Nothing strange about it? changeing a width of hiegh attribute doesnt cause it to cease being a table "/

I think a good ajax page request system would work quite well there, if you didnt want crapy iframes "/

Do you need expandable tables for the iframe.
Ok I know, all tables expand, but you know what I mean.

Theres a matter of a fact you can have Expanding IFrames, Because i use them myself for my site.
