Are Habbox going to install vBulletin 3.6 Beta 2/1 or are they going to wait until it's a secure release.
I'm pretty sure we wouldn't install a Beta version.
Me thinks most forums will wait for it to come out of BETA stages.
Well; should do anyway :rolleyes_ Unless they have a serious pro who can fix any bugs they encounter.
There seems to be some bugs within the version 3.6 so we will not upgrade until it is out of the beta stages.
Erm, Jin? xDQuote:

beta 2 is safe however sinces its a beta, its being tested for bugs meaning it may have a hole or two :).
If you have a look on vbulletin.com bug tracker, you will see how many bugs they have to fix and how many are already fixed since its release.
Surprising eh? :p Thats off course not including the ones the staff found themselves.
With a big forum like this using it, it would probs give LOADS of errors. Also 3.6 is overloded by AJAX features so its not really worth the wait. Seeing as AJAX is disabled on the forum :p
It wont be on this forum untill it's been tested on the habbox test forum.
its not going to be any diff nearly as Steven. said its more akax then ever and habbox disable it so its going to me same with tiny updates.
Yeah we would wait for 3.6 to be secure and even a while after probably. And that person who said you need a serious pro to fix it, there are also Security Exploits which means not only does the glitch have to fixed, the forum itself does too. So yeah not for a while mate ;)
Why disable AJAX? AJAX is a nice feature of VBulletin... If you don't use it why not go back to a phpbb lol? Or you should at least have some kind of option to let users enable/disabled AJAX.
AJAX is like running a continuous streaming chat room - it takes up loads of processing power. Our old server couldn't cope with AJAX beign turned on so we disabled it.Quote:
