Do they hurt is it bad iam wondering as iam getting em either next week of july 10
Nope :). I have brace and it didn't hurt putting them on. One bad thing:(, for the first couple of day you may find it hard to eat food (Well I did). I had to have soup for a week. But after that I could eat what ever I wanted:).
Matty's right. Having them put on is no pain at all, but while they adjust to your mouth they can feel abit tender; but as long as you don't start chomping on a gobstopper or something you'll be OK :P
Just think how great you will look when they are out..
Depends which brace you get :)
Butterfly ( Top Brace ) =It dosent hurt when put on or after. Your mouthTwin Blocks ( Top & Bottom ) =
May get a little dry. And it takes a couple of days
get used to.Also, it dosent hurt when put in or after. But
This brace is really annoying. You cant Bite
At the front because you have a gaping gap.
Train Trax ( Fixed Braces ) =Now, It hurts a little bit if she/he puts colourAll the information Ive got from when I had braces. I still got train trax. :) But there PINK!
On your braces if you have sensative teeth. It
about 4-5 days for you front teeth to stop
hurting.
I'm getting braces soon too. I'm waiting for my orthodontist to contact me to tell me the date though, they seem to be taking forever. :(
From what people who have braces have told me, it only hurts when you have them tightened.
My friends say they don't hurt.
I had them, took them off as soon as I got home I didnt like them, rather get op when im 18.
Yup the only time they hurt is when you get them readjusted, i have to go every 6 weeks i think, coz my teeth or ******ed x( lol
nope, the only time it may it doesn't always, hurt is when it gets tightened or when its first fitted but paracetamol should take care of that :P
Also, I don't know if it was me personally or other people too, but the wiring sometimes pressed a lot on the inside of the mouth, but using wax to prevent that helps.
It ached a little when I got mine put on for a couple of days, And when they tightened it, And when they take it off it feels really weird..
Apart from that, then its okay =D
I'm getting my fixed braces off tomorrow
Woot after 2 years 2 months :D
Hurt when you get them tightened, but they're worth it just because you appreciate it SO SO MUCH when they come off. tyo22 you will be so happy tomorrow when you get to run your tongue over smooth teeth rather than lumpy, metallic brace :D
yeah can't wait xD :o :)Quote:

only bad thing would be getting called 'metal mouth' or 'train tracks' or something like that! they help your teeth alot!
It's kind of weird at first getting adjusted to them, I suppose it depends on preference, but the only time it hurt me was when I got them tightened.
It can irritate a bit for the first couple of days and it hurts a bit when they take them off (I had mine off about 3 weeks ago)
I think some people are confused about retainers and braces  .
Anyway, putting them on hurt for like a week or just under. I could eat like normal stuff but found it very hard to drink cold drinks. It irritated them rather alot.
Second time was irritating for about 3 days.
Third 1 + 1/2 days.
And that's as far as I am I think...
No im on my fourth coming up for fifth.
Fourth; half/three quarters of a day.
Any idiot that calls you names related to your braces are just stupid. It'll be you with straight teeth. Not them. Lol lol lol lol lol.
Just think of the half school days you'll miss..
thats the reason why i had em'.
thats why i didnt want them lol. my orthodontist is only in on a wednesday which is my good day. but nvmQuote:
