Just been discussing this with someone on msn, they dont think that women and men are equal or that they should be. I think the opposite of that.. I think that they definitely should be equal. I don't think they are right now, not completely, but it's getting there. What do you think?
Men are physically stronger i believe.. cause they kinda are.
But some women are stronger physically too.
Same with emotionally. I dont think women and men should be equal because people need to be independant and have different skills, better or worse than others.
If a girl wants to be good at...football(as an example), They have to train and train for years, but men just pick it up and learn it in a matter of days.
Men are phiscally stronger, but women are emotionally stronger.
Woman aren't emotionally stronger if you think about it.
No it will never exist because it simply cant happen. Not being sexist but it's just not likely to happen. Because of our Nation and also because of the different way women and males develop.

And Craigs right, it wont happen, cause thats how this world is, no ones exactly equal, everyone has skills that their weak at, and strong at.
I also meant in opportunities. Like for example, many women cant get into high paid jobs or high positions in a job, because the people who are at the top are scared that a woman will go and have a baby and not come back. Therefore, they see them as a waste of their time, money and training. I don't think that this is right.

Women to get to the top need to train alot which some get bored of and would rather do a job they'd enjoy. Also a factor of the bosses at the top is whether they are intending to have a baby or wether they can do as much work as a male. Again not being sexist but in most cases men can do better physical work than females, and men also aren't put off by certain aspects of a job like say having to move something that smells etc.

From a business point of view, that is correct. Why waste your money training a woman who will then go and get pregnant and need time off, causing you to spend more money advertising for a temporary replacement, when a man cuts all that out?Quote:

About work opportunities, if a business decides not to take on a woman because she's likely to have children (married, no children, 20's-30's) then that's a good business decision, it's not unfair on the woman. It's unfair on men that these days companies have guidelines of what proportion of men/women is acceptable, which can hinder an over-qualified male from getting a job if the company has a lack of female workers.
Let's say a man and a woman both go up for the same promotion. They are equally skilled and qualified, but there is only one place. If the woman gets the job, it's called "equal opportunities", but if the man gets the job it's called sexist... where women once wanted equality, they now work toward superiority, despite scientifically being the weaker sex.

Fair enough.. but not all women want children. Now because of this attitude, even those who don't can't get into these jobs because they just presume they do. It's technically called the 'glass ceiling', where women can get so high in industry and in their careers but then no further.

But like i said before, some people are emotionally stronger/physically stronger in both female and male, and same too with weaker in emotions/physical state. Just about the balances and how different people cope emotionally. And in stronger physically, about the balances of who is more an outgoing excercising ect ect person.
Also you need to pay for Maternity leave aswell. And need to re-hire someone for like 5-9 months aswell :rolleyes:Quote:

Well, my cousin was on maternity leave, and she didnt have too pay for anything.
Of course there are acceptions, but generally men are better workers. They are (and remember these are generalisations) physically stronger and so can work longer, have less boundaries as to what they'll do, have better leadership skills inherited from our tribal ancestors, are less empathetic/more ruthless which makes for a better businessman, and all that women have as a bonus is that as a front they are often seen as more trustworthy by a customer, and the fact that they can get on their knees and open wide for a promotion.

Although this one actaly has valid reasoning, female employes cost more than male empoly's. Theres a rediculus amount of evidance proveing this, and it easy easly demostarted by looking at plainly obvios facts. Yet this is chalenged, even thogh if men and woman WERE equal, it would be acceped. If there was equalty, whom ever cost a company more to emply would be payed less in wages to make up for the loss's they would likly incur.
The socal byass about hitting woman on the other hand, is groundless, and is definate inqualty in the eyes of society, not in reality. Yet that remains compleaty unchalenged or unbothered by most.
Society is not equal, and probaly never will be, a major reason for this is simply that where not clones, where not a collective interligence, we are each independant beings who act on our own accord, So for equlaty to truley exist a much more indveridualed idea of socal workings would be requred "/

I can understand what FlyingJesus said about the hitting of a gay man and you're branded a homophobe etc. That side of society is definitely getting out of hand. It's political correctness gone mad, but I still think there needs to be more of an eye kept on for instance, immigrants being exploited.
