The base isnt circle.
Its more square with a rounded edge
There are better ways to shade cylinders that just lines too.
:P I love it, but make the top of the hat orange only and it need more shaiding..

BTW. Hats doesn't always have a round base..

I don't think the tilt was a mistake, I think It was there to look more realistic because those hats don't stand up tall... :S
The slight tilt backwards was intentional.. its not meant to go straight up... ;l

yeah i changed my signature. i think i made some improvements.. i changed the top bit of the hat and fixed the base..
