They are spiders or bots which are crawling the site to index and check out Habbox Forum, it's for things like SEO and other things.

SEO must be something to do with Search Engine Options?

I think they're their to keep the sites they came from updated with different resutls when you search key phrases on say Google or yahoo.

They're web crawlers, they copy the pages which are then processed by a search engine.

seo = Search Engine Optimisation.

Basily its makeing a site work better for search engines, higher ranking, better indexing etc.

There just exstras to allow members to see the bots as the crawl the site

They're search engines basically. They're almost constantly on forums (assuming that you've ticked Enable Spiders) searching for results. Basically, if you search something on Google, the Google Spider will search millions of pages, including the forum but it needs an account to do so, thus the search spider. So basically its a searcher for search engines to turn up results.
